We are welcoming poets of all levels of experience, including those just beginning to compose poems, and many of the North East’s finest makars, plus guest poets from further afield to our monthly pre-festival ‘Wee Words’, our new poetry readings, with open mic slots always available. Continuing in the spirit of The Wee Gaitherin’s commitment to poetry events where all can ‘turn up, tune in and take part’ these informal gatherings offer opportunities to try out new writing and well-beloved pieces in a safe and celebratory environment.
